CAMPUS | A compute infrastructure brief
Move from site overview to interiors and interface detail, connecting different infrastructure scales in one project narrative.
Organise demand, site and collaboration conditions for a concept compute opportunity into a structure for further discussion.
Start with the work the campus must support
CAMPUS organises compute-infrastructure discussion around a demand-led brief. Its concept site is a shared setting for enterprise needs, site conditions, resource choices and specialist services—not a claim about unconfirmed scale.
Two low-rise buildings are arranged around a service court, connecting the external setting with internal circulation. Understanding that relationship gives purpose to the subsequent discussion of equipment and rooms.
Give infrastructure a human scale
The opening view establishes buildings and surroundings. Interior views emphasise circulation, lighting and maintenance space, while details examine materials and connection points. Each scale answers a different question.
Compute need not be represented only by glowing server rows. Access, maintenance and facility organisation are also part of infrastructure, bringing the discussion closer to practical work.
Separate assumptions from known conditions
The brief separates business objectives, workload characteristics, data conditions and site information. Unconfirmed conditions remain questions rather than becoming asserted capabilities during presentation.
An advisory discussion can then focus on the information needed next: who owns demand, who evaluates resources, who confirms deployment conditions and what would justify proceeding.
Open collaboration with a clear brief
CAMPUS combines a site concept, demand breakdown, evaluation questions and related imagery. It connects with BGX’s compute-advisory and resource-partnership narrative without implying ownership of the illustrated facility.
The study is a starting point for cross-team work: establish shared understanding, then involve the appropriate technology partners and specialists.
